Monster Trucks Return to Black Rock with Doubleheader to Kick Off June

Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY, (May 27, 2012)- The fourth month of the 2012 racing season at Black Rock Speedway is almost here and it will come in with a major roar, due in large part to four popular monsters.

The first weekend of June means one thing in Yates County: Monster Trucks spend some time in Dundee.  Both Friday and Saturday of this weekend, monster trucks will take center stage on the Black Rock Speedway infield.  Once again, After Shock will lead the quartet, operated by popular pilot Bob Robbins.  Krazy Train will be back this season, joined this year by Hot Tamale and Equalizer.  As great as the monster trucks are sure to be, there will be plenty of other great excitement on the weekend.

On Friday Night, Boy and Girl Scouts will be admitted in free for the Monster Mayhem program, which will also include a full card of oval-track action.  This will be the first opportunity in two weeks for each division to race at The Rock.  Brady Fultz has won the last two sportsman feature and holds the point lead, while John Waters has won all three events in the late model division.  Bob Buono picked up his second win last time out to take a slim point lead in the street stock division and Rich Karlnoski scored his first career IMCA Modified win two weeks ago and in the process has taken sole possession of the point lead.  James Kreidler III pulled off the 4-cylinder sweep, winning both the oval and road course events, and has command of a slim point lead, just like Steven Rogers (FWD 4-cylinder) and Justin Eldridge (Bandit) have in their respective divisions.

Saturday Night is the highly-anticipated Wreckapalooza 2012.  Not only will the monster trucks crush whatever they feel like, so too will just about anything else.  This year’s edition will include an Adult and Youth Demolition Derby plus the always-thrilling Motorhome vs. School Bus Race.  What will happen this weekend can only be answered by being on hand to see all of the action.
