Penn Yan Auto Parts Presents Black Rock Speedway Action Friday

Dundee, NY (April 23, 2007)- If Goldie Locks is any indication, after an opening weekend of “too cold”, and a second weekend of “too hot” then the third week of racing would have to be “just right.”

Steve Paine goes for a third-straight week of winning ways in the Marbles Automotive 358-modifieds as he has returned to his old form of domination at the Black Rock Speedway. While “The Hurricane” has been ending up in victory lane, Ron Cartwright Jr. arguably has been the quickest car of 2007. Cartwright will be back once again to attempt to dethrone the No. 7x.

Jeremy Wonderling will attempt to return to his 2006 form this Friday after a week that was unlike “Mr. Excitement”. Larry Knowles took home top honors last week in the Freedom Village USA Super Stocks, with Quinn Sutherland one of the top competitors to end up at the top of the heap at the end of week three.

Todd Henderson has dominated the first two weeks of competition, but he has a number of newcomers to the division that are ready to become the first Hoselton Sportsman winner other than “Handsome Todd”.

The Trucks, particularly Terry Povoksi, were in command of the first Regional International Trucks Pro Trucks/Street Stocks combined event, will Povoski and the rest of the trucks dominate this week or is it time for top street stock competitors like Rich Sharpsteen and Bubba Burnell end up as the first street stock driver to win in this newly formed class.

The Signs Plus of Kanona 4-Cylinders did not have a winner last week after a disqualification, so they head into week three still looking for their second different winner. If Scott Yaw wins though, he will remain the only winner, as well as the point leader.

The Black Rock Bandits saw Erica Bell get back to victory lane. Bell, along with Tom Austin Jr., is back in a tight early-season point battle for the second-straight year.

Racing will begin once again at 6:45 p.m. this Friday for a full card of racing. Don’t forget that it will be the first night for a kid’s club bike give-a-way. Youngsters can sign up the night of the races to be entered in the first drawing of 2007.
